Year 10 is marked by our students’ graduation to Key Stage 4 where they will embark upon their important GCSE and BTEC courses. Many familiar subjects will continue to be studied, but other new and exciting courses will be introduced, including: Business; Enterprise; Citizenship; and Health and Social Care
Students will be expected develop both their school work and study skills, and of course more will be expected of them in terms of the amount of time spent on homework and independent research.
Year 10 students will also take part in a work experience scheme designed to encourage them to reflect on the paths they may wish to pursue after school, and the steps they need to take to reach their goals.
In the summer term, students may wish to consider whether they have the determination, ability and aptitude to be part of the school’s next Student Leadership Team. If so, they may put themselves forward for the election process for the Head Girl and Head Boy, Deputies, Prefects or Student Governors.
