Parents' Evenings
At St Mary’s Catholic High School we regard parents and carers as partners in the education of our students.
Attendance at these Parents' Consultation Evening' is important as it provides time to speak with your child's teachers and find out how they are getting on at school. It is an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have and also for the teachers to explain how you can support your child with their learning at home.
The evenings are held from 3.30pm - 6.30pm. Meetings with individual subject teachers usually last five minutes each. However, should there be a need for a longer discussion it is advisable to make a separate appointment at an other convenient time.
In Year 9 there is an additional evening in the spring term to deal with the Pathways (Options) process. This usually takes place in the spring term.
Pupils will be issued with an appointment sheet prior to the evening in order to make parent appointments with their teachers.
