Year 11 Careers Event
Year 11 students and their parents had the opportunity to meet with representatives from a range of post-16 providers at this week’s parents’ consultation evening. Organised by Miss Delaney, the representatives set up their displays in the school’s dining room in order that all students and their parents could visit them as they arrived for meetings with their subject teachers.
This year is important for our year 11 students, not only because they are preparing for their important GCSE examinations, but also as they must decide their post-16 destination for next year.
This term, it is vital to begin researching the various courses available at local specialist sixth form colleges, at a sixth form of a local school, or online learning, as it helps form good ideas about possible career routes as well as focusing students minds on the examination requirements for each course, whether it be A Levels, BTECs and other vocational qualifications, or apprenticeships.
Thank you to the staff from the various organisations who gave up their time to meet with our students and parents:

- Christ the King Sixth Form College

- John Ruskin College
