T House Celebrates the Feast of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux

On Wednesday, 1st October, pupils and staff from T House came together to celebrate the feast day of their patron, Saint Thérèse of Lisieux. The day began with attendance at 10:00am Mass at St Mary’s Church, West Croydon, where they joined the local parish community in the celebration of the Eucharist.

This Mass was both an act of faith and a celebration of the life and legacy of Saint Thérèse, whose spirituality and simplicity continue to inspire generations. Known as the “Little Flower,” Saint Thérèse of Lisieux was a French Carmelite nun and Doctor of the Church, remembered for her "Little Way"—a path of love, humility, and doing small things with great devotion. Though she died young at the age of 24, her spiritual autobiography, The Story of a Soul, has touched countless lives, fulfilling her promise to “let fall a shower of roses” from heaven.

Following the Mass, T House pupils were treated to cookies and a special celebratory chocolate cake—a wonderful way to mark this meaningful occasion and reflect on the values their patron represents.

The day was a beautiful reminder of faith, community, and the enduring power of simple acts done with great love.

Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, pray for us.
