November -Month of Remembrance 2023
In the month of November, as a Catholic community, we remember all those who have died. Starting on the Feasts of All Saints and All Souls, special pupil-led assembles were held where pupils were able to pray for all who have died, known and unknown.
At a time of growing concern for the current global conflicts, students were able to pray for all those who have died because of war, especially the innocent victims of conflict. We also prayed for those people in our global community who have died as a result of hunger, illness, and catastrophe brought about by the impact of climate change.
This year pupils were encouraged to write the names of any person or group of people that they wanted to remember. These names were placed in a basket on the altar in our School Chapel and prayed for each day during the Month of November.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
