End of Year Awards Celebration

Friday, 17th July 2026
With great anticipation, on the final day of term pupils and staff gathered in the Sports Hall for our final liturgy and the End of Year Awards. This year’s ceremony introduced a refreshed format, including several new award categories designed to recognise the diverse strengths and contributions of our pupils.
Not only were winners celebrated with warm applause, but each received individual trophies and certificates—lasting reminders of their hard work, dedication, and personal growth. The House Points Awards also featured newly introduced cups and shields, proudly presented to the victorious houses.
Florence O. (10P) captured the audience’s attention with a compelling speech on the impact of media‑shaped body image. Her confident delivery earned her The Orator Award, recognising both her eloquence and the importance of her message.

House Points Trophy Awards – Trinity Term & Overall Academic Year
House Points Trophy Awards
The House Points Trophy at the end of Trinity Term recognises both term‑time success and overall achievement across the academic year. Points are awarded for attendance, academic achievement, inter‑house competitions, and a wide range of contributions to school life.
A new category, Tidy House, was introduced this year, reflecting our commitment to two key principles of Catholic Social Teaching: Care for the Environment and Dignity of Work. This award celebrates the pride pupils take in maintaining their shared spaces and caring for the school community.
While most awards celebrate positive actions, pupils are also aware that points can be lost for demerits earned—reinforcing the importance of responsibility, conduct, and consistent effort.
Congratulations to St. John Bosco House who won the House Points Award Trophy for the Trinity Term.
