Carol Service 2024

At the start of our last week of term, and in the third week of Advent, the school’s annual Carol Service was held on Tuesday, 17th December, attended by pupils, parents and all members of staff in our school Assembly Hall.

The Assembly Hall was decorated with our large nativity scene, Christmas tree, Advent Wreath, and our Advent Banners is a fitting venue to celebrate the coming of Christmas. The Carol Service itself followed the traditional format of readings and Christmas carols, telling the story of the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago. 

This year’s Carol Service saw some wonderful performances by the School Choir and by the Year 7 Drama Club, who presented a modern-day interpretation of the story of the nativity. Well done to all the pupils involved in the music and drama and readings, with a special thank you to Mrs Wheeler-Choudhury for leading the music, Ms Harty for the drama performance, and the accompanist, Mrs Akhurst.
