BBC100 - 'Share Your Story' visits St Mary's
On Friday, 16th September we had guests from the BBC in to talk to all year groups as part of their 100-year celebration 'Share Your Story'.
BBC100 'Share Your Story’ is part of the BBC’s centenary celebrations, where we plan to visit around 400 secondary schools across the UK, reaching approx. 400,000 students. In each session a carefully selected BBC Ambassador shared their inspirational journey with students, with the aim to inspire through the power of storytelling. We had Trudianne, Bedward, and Emma White share their stories with us.
Trudianne is an Events Producer with the BBC. She spoke about the challenges she faced whilst growing up, and how the power of hard work has helped her reach her goals. Emma is a Junior Production Management Assistant. She spoke about struggling with her mental health and how she made a decision to try to overcome this.
