St Mary's Catholic High School

Annual Macmillan Cake Sale raises £561.12

On Tuesday, 21st October, the school came together for our annual cake sale and raised £561.12 for Macmillan Cancer Support. This fun event highlighted some of the wider values of our Catholic school: compassion, community, and service.

Students and staff from all four houses brought in a wide variety of treats, from homemade cakes to biscuits and doughnuts. The competition was on, with each house trying to raise the most money for the charity. The usual focus on healthy eating was set aside as everyone enjoyed the treats and joined in the friendly rivalry.

This cake sale was more than just about raising funds - it was about showing compassion for those affected by cancer and coming together as a community to support them. The money raised will help Macmillan provide vital care and support to people battling cancer.

The event also encouraged teamwork and unity, as students and staff worked together to make the sale a success. We’re proud of the way everyone came together to make a difference.

A huge congratulations to everyone who participated, with a special shout-out to the winning House, J House, for raising an impressive £194.19!
