A Festive Tradition: Trip to the Pantomime

  Wednesday, 17th December 2025

On Wednesday, 17th December, all pupils enjoyed our school's annual pantomime trip to Fairfield Halls, Croydon, this year to see Beauty and the Beast. Just a short walk from school, this festive outing is a wonderful way to celebrate the approaching Christmas holiday and reward pupils for their excellent behaviour and attendance throughout the term.

This year’s pantomime truly lived up to its promise of "a glittering extravaganza, featuring West End–quality sets, dazzling costumes, and sensational choreography—all wrapped in a magical story filled with laughter, romance, and wonder."

Pupils loved joining in with the traditional pantomime fun, cheering, booing and clapping along throughout the show. The lively performances and stunning costumes brought the story to life and made the experience truly memorable.

Year 11 pupils, who have attended the last three pantomimes, particularly loved the lively music, which included adaptations of popular songs they could sing along to. For many of our new Year 7 pupils, it was their very first pantomime experience, and they were captivated by the colourful costumes, jokes, and laughter.

One Year 11 pupil stated:
“The music was brilliant! We all sang along and laughed so much—it’s definitely the best way to end the term.”

Our teachers also appreciate this annual outing, enjoying the show alongside pupils and sharing in the festive spirit.
