Jubilee 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope

The declaration of 2025 as a Holy Year of Jubilee by Pope Francis is a call to renewal and hope for Catholics around the world. The theme, “Pilgrims of Hope”, invites everyone to rediscover the light of hope that comes from faith, as well as to reflect on their relationship with God, one another, and all of creation. It’s a time to focus on prayer, pilgrimage, and acts of charity—principles deeply rooted in the Book of Leviticus and the tradition of Jubilee that’s been celebrated for centuries.

Pope Francis is also emphasizing the role of Catholic Social Teaching in this holy year, encouraging believers to act with compassion and care for the poor, the marginalized, and for our planet. As he says, hope is not just for personal renewal but for being signs of hope to others. The themes of peace, justice, and environmental stewardship will be prominent throughout the year.
